ALMA Position Statement on Gender Affirming Care (February 2026) ALMA endorses Dr Thomas Drake-Brockman’s (they/them) motion at the Australian Medical Association (AMA) Conference in August 2025 to “recognise Innate Variations of Sex Characteristics as natural variations in humans, oppose pathologisation of Intersex people, and call for the deferral of all non-urgent medical and surgical interventions for those who cannot given personal and informed consent.” Position Statement on Human Rights Abuses in Gaza and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (June 2025) ALMA had a presence at the Sydney World Pride Human Rights Conference 2023. 2020 Submission to Attorney General re: Religious Discrimination Bill Position statement on LGBTIQA+ Refugees 2018 Submission to the UN Committee On the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women With the Australian Federation of Medical Women (AFMW) we introduced Climate Justice and LGBTIQ statements at the UN level. |
